10 Gift Ideas for Teenage Girls
Known for their angst, teenage girls can test their parent’s patience even on good days. But no matter how much door-slamming and phone-scrolling they partake in, they’ll always be your little angels. Whether you need a peace offering, bribe, prize, or birthday gift, you can browse the internet to find something that will make them smile. We know for a fact that perfect gifts for teenagers are hard to come by. If we make a mistake by choosing the wrong gift though, we can expect that being sent to the ever expanding circle of “uncool parents or relatives”. Trust me, I know this because I have 4 teenage nieces that I love dearly and one wrong gift makes me turn from the cool, fun aunt to the nerdy and old aunt. They are my princesses and I would do anything to keep them smiling. Christmas is around the corner so I have begun my Christmas shopping and found 10 gift ideas for teenage girls.
On top of my list is Petite’ n Pretty’s makeup gift sets. This is the best teen makeup I have ever seen anywhere in the market. Petite’ n Pretty’s makeup products are nut-free and cruelty-free which means they are not tested on animals, what’s even more amazing is that their products are Paraben and Phthalate-free. They are proven safe and are non-toxic makeup providers. Give your daughter a glamorous Petite’ n Pretty makeup set and surely any teenage girl in your life will be extremely happy and she’s definitely going to post about it on Instagram!
Number 2, Bath Bombs. They are good for teenage girls. You’ll never know when to expect hearing about their stressful lives so it’s always a good idea to gift bath bombs to help them relax in a nice bath when needed.
Number 3, a statement T-shirt. Get your daughter or niece a t-shirt that really stands out! Girls these days care about their image a lot and having a statement t-shirt will for sure make them happy, especially for their instagram posts!
Number 4, a smart watch. Teenage girls have very different tastes than us but as a parent we want our kids to have a little passion and interest in technology. Smart watches are awesome and can play an introductory role into technology and make them realize how amazing technology actually is. These watches will also remind your children to stand up, get some exercise in, and stay fashionable.
Number 5, a planner set or calendar planner. Get your children a planner! You can’t go wrong with a preppy designed one. Normally what children can use these for is to keep track of their work and schedules, but also to use it as a daily summary to keep track of what happens to them every day like a journal. . It is handy to have a planner that could also serve as a diary to them.
Number 6, a set of cute pens or other collectibles. You may be aware that by now teenage girls can get passionate about collecting things. They really do appreciate the small things and are likely to put you back in their list of the cool aunt or cool parent for helping them with their collection.
Number 7, wireless headphones. Want to be a super cool aunt or mom? Order your children a set of wireless headphones. Every child wants a pair!
Number 8, holographic nail polish. Teen girls love getting their nails done. I usually treat my teenage nieces to a day in the spa where they can get a massage and a manicure and pedicure. They go crazy over the nail colors and they always look forward to the next spa appointment.
Number 9, a portable phone power bank. I noticed my nieces are constantly on their phones and they always need to have their phone fully charged before leaving the house. They always get worried about not having enough battery to last the whole day being out and about to talk to their friends, post instagram stories, shop, and everything else they do on their phones. With a power bank that they can take anywhere, they never have to worry about these issues again.
Lastly, a good book can be a great gift too. A book that captures the struggles a teenager is going through and elegantly helps them or helps them think about more fun and interesting things is a great gift. There is so much our kids can learn from great books. There are plenty of books they would enjoy reading such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. The emotions in these books are strong and raw. Teenage girls could learn a lot from these books.
